Dr. Nir Karasikov

Dr. Karasikov joined Nanomotion in 1997 as VP R&D and later was promoted to SVP, President and GM, and eventually as CTO. Since joining he leads the company's activity in precision motion turning the company into a major player in the Semicon and Defense motion markets. Prior to joining Nanomotion, Dr. Karasikov was involved for many years in various high-tech industries, leading the development of infrared systems, electro-optic systems, laser-based metrology systems, security systems, image analysis systems, and precision mechanical systems for microscopy. Dr. Karasikov has broad experience in developing and introducing new pioneering technologies into the market and in collaboration with major worldwide corporations. Since acquiring his Doctorate in Material Science and Solid State Physics from the Technion, Dr. has authored over 60 articles in his field and has invented and patented over 50 applications in electro-optics, inspection and piezoelectric related fields.
